Much loved husband and best friend of Elizabeth. Best dad and pa ever!
A community minded quiet achiever, nature lover, and mate to many. Lived for his family and left on his own terms. Now walking his dogs in eternal sunshine. We will all miss you so much.

Truly sad to hear of Max’s passing, he was one of life’s true gentlemen and always offered a smile and some often needed words of wisdom.
Thoughts are with Elizabeth, Phillip, Claire and Alisha and respective families.
I consider myself one of the many who were better off for knowing Max
Respected friend and associate. I have always considered a guiding light and pillar of life. I saddens me to here that he has passed without being able to say goodbye. I will always remember and miss his stutter. Condolences to all of his family especially Elizabeth who he loved with all his heart and cared for always Regards to all. Joey Norris
Thanks Max for all the great times sailing, I loved the way you and Elvyne would find that elusive gust of wind that the rest of us missed. Really enjoyed your company at Cairn Curran Sailing Club and our thoughts are very much with Elizabeth and the family. Your gentle manner and love of the outdoors and the bush was an inspiration to many of us.
What very sad news, condolences to Elizabeth and family. Max was a true gentleman and great mate of my late Dad (Albert). Very much the quiet achiever and cunning sailor.
Rest in Peace.
So very sorry to hear of your loss Elizabety, Phillip, Claire and Alisha. Max was such a wonderful gentleman setting an exquisite example to all who knew him. Sincere condolences from Peter and Janet Cobden
On behalf of the Cairn Curran Sailing Club and its members past and present, I offer our sincere condolences to Elizabeth, Phillip, Claire, Alisha and your families regarding the swift passing of our good friend and companion. Max’s standing and contribution to the club will be acknowledged and remembered every time we get the rescue boat out, in fact he had a busy day last weekend looking out for others as he always has. As Joey, Chas, Andrew, Janet and Brian have mentioned, he will be missed – but fondly remembered – as a good sailer, club member and a guy who enjoyed a full and active life with friends and family alike. Best wishes to all.
