Our journey began in the early 1870's with Mr. William Farmer, a cabinet maker who ventured into manufacturing coffins for families. As was common in those times, he expanded his services to include conducting funerals, thus laying the foundation for William Farmer Funeral Directors.

Today, nestled in Bendigo and Eaglehawk, William Farmer stands as a established family-owned and operated funeral home. Jesse and Megan Cattell, along with their devoted team, take great care in tending to families, viewing it as a privilege to be entrusted with funeral arrangements. Nearly 150 years on, William Farmer remains a pillar of trust in the Bendigo community and its surroundings, steadfast in delivering personalised, professional, and compassionate funeral services.

Beyond serving the community at its core, our company actively engages with various groups and events throughout Bendigo and neighboring areas. Our team reciprocates the support by contributing through donations, volunteer work, and community activities. We host tours and educational sessions for clubs, school groups, and churches, while also actively participating in organisations like Rotary, Land Care, and the Bendigo Easter Fair Society, among others, in a shared commitment to giving back.
