Frank Roberts
Just a wonderful man!
Frank always made time to be involved and to help out where ever he could – hearing reading at school or watching the many Volleyball teams at the West Bendigo stadium…. he was always happy to support his family!
He was a lovely man with a warm heart! (Jill)
My most favourite memory of Frank was the Monday after the 2007 BFL Grand Final.
I was working away in my office at school, when I heard a great commotion out in the foyer, so I went to investigate…..
Much to my surprise and delight, it was Frank in full voice singing the Eaglehawk theme song after they had won the Grand Final the previous Saturday.
Frank, knowing I was also an Eaglehawk supporter, thought he would just brighten my day….. and he did! (John)
Sincere sympathy to Cate, Deb, Gary and families.

Rest In Peace Frank.
Deepest Sympathy to the family
Love Carol and Csaba
Our deepest sympathy to all of the extended Roberts family. Frank truly was the most special man. The love he had for his kids and grandkids and how they felt for him was so beautiful and something to cherish forever. He was so welcoming, warm and gentle, he made everyone feel like he was their “Pa”. His whistling and singing were his trademark characteristics and always put me in a good mood, whether that be at volleyball camps or afternoons spent watching the Brewin and Belsar boys at the local cricket. He welcomed my sister Lisa into his family like she was his own and I know he holds such a dear place in her heart. May your legacy live on in all of those many family and friends of yours! RIP Frank
Frank was a great character. I always enjoyed the opportunity to sit down and chat to Frank, whether it was watching volleyball or during a meal with his loving family. My condolences to all of his extended family.
A wonderful family man and a true gentleman
Frank, we will always remember you as a larrikin and a fabulous story teller. You were witty and very charming. Wearing your braces and carrying the fob watch. Telling Mark about your days in the railway workshops.
We remember your love for your family – and their love for you. And, your positive impact on all those around you. We are thankful for the times we shared.
Sincere sympathy to Cate, Deb, Gary and families.
Love Jenny and Mark Harriott
What a gift to meet and spend time with a man like Frank in our lifetime.
I miss his beautiful hugs.
Much love to Cate, John and the extended Roberts family.

Frank, or ‘Pa’ as referred to by many, will hold a special part in our hearts💚always.
A gentle man, with a infectious smile, always showed an interest in others & barracked for the right team, Go Cats!
His love & support for his family & friends, his dedication to everyone and commitment to enjoying 93 years of life, is a credit to him.
To Gaz, Leo, Laura & Lewis; Deb, Dave, Tim & Jack; Cate, John, Sam, Mia & Tom, and extended family, we are thinking you all during this tricky time.
Special memories of a wonderful man.
Love & hugs..
What a beautiful send off the mighty Catters gave you Francis. Most fitting. Looking at the wonderful comments above, they say it all about a man we all loved, without exception. Much love to Cath, Deb and Gary, their partners and beautiful grandchildren. Bernie and Jill Sleep.
My family have many fond memories of Frank. My Dad “Nuts” worked under Frank at the Loco sheds for many years. Dad and I had a lot to do with Frank in the Eaglehawk Fire Brigade. He was a very good runner and enjoyed many successes on the running track under the eye of Captain Norm Wilcock. Frank always saw the lighter side of any situation, always a pleasure to be with. Frank is another of our Eaglehawk icons who lived their life to the full.
Sincere sympathy to Cate, Deb, Gary and families.
We send our loving farewell to a wonderful gentleman.
To our eyes Frank was the most devoted father and grandfather that anyone could hope for. He lived for his family.
We were extremely fortunate that at times our family was included in Frank’s extended tribe.
We fondly remember Frank regularly taking Tommy and Alex on the train to Castlemaine, just as a day out for the then pre-schoolers.
We laugh at the memory of Frank, resplendent in chef’s hat, serving us dinner with all the pomp of a fine dining restaurant, for a New Year’s celebration.
We marvel at his dedication to attend every sporting event his grandchildren were involved in and his willingness to help out whenever needed.
We dismay at the thought of never again hearing him break into song at the slightest encouragement
And finally we grieve for the heartache of his beautiful family who displayed Frank-like dedication in their extraordinary care for him over the past months.
Wendy, Colin, Sam, Tom, Greta and Alex Faulkner

It was lovely to speak with him just recently at our reunion. He was such a devoted Dad to you Cathy, Deb and Gary. Our love and condolences to you and your families.
Frank was one of a kind! Always willing to help out particularly ‘other grandchildren’ that included Erin and Hugh. My first memory of Frank was in the kiosk at the YMCA, tucked under the stairs and of course smiling. His love of his family and their friends was always evident. His sense of humour, dress sense and positive nature were wonderful features of a lovely man that will be greatly missed. Love to Cate, John, Deb, David, Gary, Leonie and families.
A man loved by everyone and whose memory I will keep for ever.

Cate, Deb, Gary and families, we have always admired your Dad and Pa. And now, learning a little more of his life-story, we see a life of purpose, love, friendship, humour and dedication to his family. He is an example to us all of what really matters in life and proof that life is what we make of it. Best wishes to you all.
