Loved husband of Joyce (dec.). Dearly loved dad and father-in-law of Robert (dec.) and Glennis, Diana and Herb, Vicki (dec.), Niel and Helen, Brenda and David, and Patti. Grandpa of David, Jason, Martin, Brendon, Nichole, Kelly, Stuart, Paul and Jessica. Gramps to many great grandchildren.
Reunited with his wife, son and daughter.
Will always be loved and greatly missed by everyone.

A Thanksgiving Service for the life of Mr. Roy Alexander Sawers will be held in the chapel at the Bendigo Crematorium, 5 Victoria St., Eaglehawk, on FRIDAY (July 22) at 2:30 pm.

Wonderful memories of Uncle Roy and such a heartfelt tribute to him with the poetry and photos. I remember seeing him in Alexandra at Grandpa and Nana Sawers’ in my youth as well as at Blackwater and Townsville in later years when he and Aunty Joyce were up at the gemfields. Dad (Herbert) loved that time with him too. Roy was the last of his siblings. Never to be forgotten.
