1 tribute. Leave new
When I was a kid and attended Mandurang Primary School (Bendigo) Wayne Angove was my best mate.
He was always happy and active and cheeky. I remember he loved ridding his horses. We would play in the horse paddock and bushland around his house. He had made a giant slingshot out of bicycle tubes in the paddock that used to throw rocks a good distance. We played with his brother John’s trumpet when nobody else was home.
When I was about 10 years old, my family moved to Queensland, I couldn’t take my dog Lassie with us. Wayne looked after Lassie when we moved. She was in good hands and had Wayne’s small dog called Patch to play with. I last spoke with Wayne when I was in High School. He got a job as a baker in Melbourne. After that we lost contact. If only we had all the mobile phones, email, facebook and stuff back then I’m sure we would of kept in contact.
I’ve only just heard of Wayne’s passing. I don’t know if Wayne had a family of his own but I’m sure he would have. His wife would be lovely and his kids would be awesome just like he was. My condolences to his mum, Anne, John and Kaye. Best wishes to you all.
Wayne, 45 was too young. You were the best mate a kid could have.
Regards
Fraser Macdonald.
