William Farmer Funeral Directors began in the 1870's. In the early days cabinetmakers started producing coffins for families, and from this the funeral director was born.

Andrew and Heather Hampton purchased William Farmer Funeral Directors in 1987 and have continued providing the people of Bendigo with the professional service that William Farmer has always provided.

This reflects in the awards they have received.

In 1995 they won their section in the Bendigo Business Excellence Awards for Commerce/Service. During that same year they also the won the Bendigo & District Health & Safety Forum Award for under 20 employees. More recently in October, 2009 they won the Environmental Award at the Bendigo Business Excellence Awards.

Andrew and Heather together with their team continue to thrive for excellence.
